General

What is Tosang?

Tosang is a beautiful, modern Kanban board application for task management. It's designed for developers, designers, and makers who want both power and aesthetics in their productivity tools.

Is Tosang free to use?

Yes! Tosang is completely free to use. No credit card is required, and there are no hidden fees or premium tiers. All features are available to everyone.

What platforms does Tosang support?

Tosang is a web application that works in any modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). It's fully responsive and works on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Do I need to install anything?

No installation required. Simply visit the Tosang website, sign in, and start organizing. Your data is saved in the cloud and accessible from any device.

Account & Billing

How do I create an account?

Click "Sign In" on the homepage. You'll be taken to our secure authentication page where you can create a new account or sign in with existing credentials.

Can I change my email address?

Account email changes are managed through our authentication system. Please contact support if you need to update your email address.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account and all associated data, please contact our support team. Note that this action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Will Tosang ever become paid?

We're committed to keeping Tosang free. If we ever introduce premium features in the future, the core functionality will remain free.

Boards & Tasks

How many boards can I create?

There's no limit! Create as many boards as you need to organize your projects and tasks.

Is there a limit to tasks or columns?

No artificial limits. You can create as many columns and tasks as your workflow requires.

Can I recover a deleted board?

Unfortunately, deleted boards cannot be recovered. We recommend being certain before deleting, as this action removes all associated columns and tasks permanently.

How do I reorder columns?

Click and drag a column by its header to move it to a new position. Release to drop it in place.

Can I move tasks between boards?

Currently, tasks can only be moved between columns within the same board. To move a task to a different board, you'll need to recreate it.

What happens to completed tasks?

Completed tasks remain in their column with a visual indicator showing they're done. You can keep them for reference or delete them when no longer needed.

Can I duplicate a task?

Task duplication isn't currently available. You'll need to create a new task and copy the details manually.

Sharing & Collaboration

How do I share a board?

Click the Share button in the navigation bar (when viewing a board), enter the email address of the person you want to share with, select their permission level, and send the invitation. See our Collaboration Guide for more details.

Can I share with someone who doesn't have a Tosang account?

Yes! When they click the invitation link, they'll be prompted to create an account. Once registered, they'll have access to the shared board.

The person I invited didn't receive the email. What should I do?

Ask them to check their spam/junk folder first. If it's not there, try removing and resending the invitation. Make sure the email address is correct.

Can I change someone's permission level?

Currently, you need to remove the share and send a new invitation with the desired permission level.

Can collaborators share the board with others?

No. Only the board owner can share the board or manage sharing permissions. This ensures you maintain control over who has access.

What happens when I remove someone's access?

The board immediately disappears from their account. They can no longer view or access it. Any tasks they created remain on the board.

Can I see who made changes to a task?

Activity tracking and change history are not currently available. All collaborators with edit access can make changes to tasks.

Technical

Is my data secure?

Yes. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and protected database storage.

Can I export my data?

Data export functionality is not currently available. If you need your data exported, please contact support.

Does Tosang work offline?

Tosang requires an internet connection to function. All data is stored in the cloud to enable collaboration and access from any device.

What browsers are supported?

Tosang works best on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend keeping your browser updated for the best experience.

Why is the page loading slowly?

This could be due to your internet connection or browser. Try refreshing the page, clearing your browser cache, or checking your network connection.

Is there an API for Tosang?

A public API is not currently available. If you're interested in integrations, please contact us to share your use case.

Are there keyboard shortcuts?

Currently, Tosang uses drag-and-drop for most interactions. Press Esc to close any open modal. Keyboard shortcut support may be expanded in the future.
